Important Announcement:

CIA Merges with Doyle Security

DSSLogo

Dear Valued Clients,

To keep pace with technology, CIA is taking a huge step forward in to the future of your security.

The world of electronic security is changing at the speed of light. New demands require new services and those services require a considerable amount of new technology. In order to marry security systems with access control, video, as well as advanced smart phone notification, we are compelled to provide a new level of sophistication.

Keeping current with these changes requires substantial enhancements and investments in our monitoring response center; which comes at a significant cost. For these reasons, I have decided to merge CIA Security with Doyle Security Systems, Inc.

Doyle Security is one of the most innovative security companies in the northeast. Combining forces, we will provide more resources and products, offer more advanced services and bring better value to our clients, all while providing the personalized, exceptional customer service you deserve.

Doyle Security Systems will be a 100 years old in March 2019. They are a family owned and operated company, now in its fourth generation. I have known the Doyle family, personally and professionally, during my forty-year career in the security industry.

I have a very strong, longtime friendship with John Doyle, Doyle Security Systems’ President and CEO. We have worked and learned together. Our unified goal has always been to strengthen our industry through education, providing you with the best possible products and service.

Please know that you will continue to receive service from the same people you are accustomed to working with. They are very excited to work with the Doyle team!

I would like to thank you for putting your faith and trust in CIA Security for the past forty years. I will be available if you have any questions.

With sincerest gratitude,

John Lombardi

Radio Communication

Why are you keeping your traditional telephone line?

Landline telephones seem to be falling out of popularity and into obscurity. According to a recent survey by the CDC, over 65% of American homes used only cellular phones.

Some people continue to hang onto their landline phones because of their home alarm system. The belief is the landline phones are more reliable. However, a landline phone is the most vulnerable form of communication for an alarm system. At one time, phone lines were the most reliable form of communication for alarm systems.

But when the FCC changed rules to allow phone companies to stop maintaining their copper lines, more outages and problems have been occurring. This past fall, residents in southern Dutchess County experienced four days of interrupted service. In February 2015, Verizon's phone lines were down for six hours across the Hudson Valley. That same month, residents in Manhattan went almost the entire month without phone service.

CIA recommends using radio communication for alarm systems. It is the most reliable form of communication. Battery backup allows it to operate during power outages, it is wireless communication so it's considered tamper proof and it has the highest transmission speed for sending alarm signals.

While there is a small installation charge and monthly fee associated with the radios, they can offer overall savings by eliminating the need for costly phone charges. The average investment of installation of a residential radio is approximately 300-500. Example: Basic phone service that includes unlimited local calls generally cost around 20-30 per month not including taxes and fees. That equals approx. 480.00 yearly. the installation is a one time installation cost and a low cost monthly monitoring  fee.
